Nashville Christmas Parade

Dec. 3, 2016 – Nashville Christmas Parade

Members of TVPFHA and Kentucky Paso Fino Horse Association have been invited to participate in the Nashville Christmas Parade on Saturday December 3rd. The parade will be nationally televised on 165 stations reaching as far as Hawaii. The parade starts at 9:00 AM and participants will need to be at the starting point at 7:00 AM for line up. The dress will be similar to the black formal show attire that one would wear if participating in a performance or fino show division (at least try to have a black jacket, hat and pants and a white shirt). If anyone is interested in participating, please contact Stella Hixson as soon as possible at 615-403-4702. This is a great opportunity to showcase our wonderful horses.

There are stalls available for an overnight stay at MTSU for $15.00 plus tax per night if needed.

Natural Horsemanship Clinic 2011

On Jan. 22, 2011, Tennessee Valley Paso Fino Horse Association in conjunction with the Kentucky Paso Fino Horse Association offered their members an opportunity to attend a Natural Horsemanship Clinic with Richie Wingfield at Kathy Yarbrough’s Farm in Franklin.

Richie Wingfield, a John & Josh Lyons-certified trainer, provided the more than 50 attendees with insight into a different methodology for training horses. His suggestions for both hot and cold work gave those attending tools that they can use in gaining control of their horses and building suppleness and collection. For more information on Richie’s training methods go to http://www.richiewingfield.com/.
